Wynne may have won the case but she is still fighting...............for her life

Ever since Darla Wynne won her case in court about the name Jesus Christ being spoken in prayer conducted by the town council, she has suffered abuse and torment. Now they have gone so far as to kill her pets in protest against her to drive her out.....

Taken from the Lancaster News August 24th, 2005
A parrot belonging to the Wiccan high priestess was beheaded and affixed with a note reading "You're next" at Wynne's home Wednesday. The 5-year-old bird, named "Little One," also had its heart ripped out, Wynne said. ... Police Chief Mike Revels said there are no suspects in the case, and his officers have yet to apprehend any of the culprits associated with a litany of disturbances to Wynne's property, some going back several years.
Since the lawsuit was filed nearly five years ago, the gas tank in Wynne's vehicle has been filled with sand, horses in her yard have been tortured and her dog was kicked so hard it went blind in one eye. ... The vandalism and pet abuse have, no doubt, been spurred on by the litigation between Wynne and the town, Revels said, but leads have been scarce. No other crimes around town appear to be committed in retaliation of Wynne's suit, he said.

In case you haven't heard about this case, Darla Wynne is a High Priestess in a town called Great Falls. She started attending the town council meeting to get the drugs problems off her streets. In the meetings they had a prayer session at the beginning where they prayed to Jesus. She at first said nothing and quietly stood aside while they had their prayers but then when she went to address the topics in the meetings she was rebuffed because she didn't take part in the prayer. She explained to them that she wasn't a Christian and would gladly take part if they would use a moer generic name like just God, that way it is not just centralized on one type of deity. They refused to do this and refused to let her take part in the meetings, so she sued them for religious discrimination. Since then she has gone through numerous attacks by people in the town.
There are some Pagans that look at this and say she was just trying to get attention, but I personally feel she was in the right for what she did.
